New Zealand South Island Tour - 16-21 November 2008

On the last day of our tour we rode the train from Greymouth on the western coast of New Zealand to Christchurch on the eastern coast. It was a 4 plus hour train ride with beautiful vistas of the surrounding valleys and the Southern Alps of New Zealand. A very restful way to conclude our trip. We arrived in Christchurch, were met at the train station by a shuttle driver who took us back to the Oaks Smartstay hotel where we were given our same room on the 12th floor. We washed our clothes repacked and prepared for our return to Sydney via Auckland the next day.
